Standard Valuation Services is one of Long Island’s largest full-service appraisal companies. We provide services for both residential and commercial properties. With a diverse range of experience and a focal service area ranging from Manhattan to Montauk, extending to the greater New York-Metropolitan area (Hudson Valley, New Jersey and Connecticut).
Founded in 1989, we’re known throughout the industry for our thoroughness, our skill, and the dedication that we bring to large and small assignments.
Our Goal is Simple
To deliver the most accurate property appraisal, no matter what the project. At Standard Valuation Services, we evaluate hundreds of different factors-from tax laws to engineering reports-to appraise the value of each property, and we conduct multiple reviews of our conclusions to make sure they’re on target. We also work with clients to meet their unique needs, whether it’s a deadline, a budget, or real estate litigation support.
Our Expertise
To maintain the highest standards of our profession, Standard Valuation Services is actively involved with the Appraisal Institute and the NY Board of Real Estate Appraisal. Our three principals, Matthew Smith, Andrew Albro, and Joanne Smith, have all achieved the industry’s highest certification: the Appraisal Institute’s MAI designation.
We also employ two additional MAI and six SRA-designated appraisers, and we encourage all our employees to deepen and develop their knowledge through continued education.
