MINEOLA, NEW YORK, January 16, 2008/Standard Valuation Services/- Andrew W. Albro, Executive Vice President of Standard Valuation Services, has been elected President of the Long Island Chapter of the Appraisal Institute for the year 2008.

Since 1986, Mr. Albro has appraised a wide variety of commercial, industrial, residential and special-use properties, from subsidized housing projects to regional shopping malls and more. He has performed both eminent domain and tax certiorari appraisals for municipalities throughout the New York metropolitan area, and has advised clients on matters that range from investment and financing decisions to right-of-way, utility and conservation easements.

Mr. Albro holds the Appraisal Institute’s prestigious MAI designation and is an experienced expert witness in matters of real estate litigation, having testified before numerous courts in New York City and Long Island, as well as many municipal zoning boards.
