Matthew L. Smith to Speak at Nassau County Village Officials Association’s October Meeting

MINEOLA, NEW YORK, October 1, 2008/Standard Valuation Services/– Matthew L. Smith, President of Standard Valuation Services, has been invited to speak at the Nassau County Village Official’s general meeting in October on the topic of reassessment.

Mr. Smith has been actively involved in reassessments within Nassau County since 1999, when Standard Valuation Services was retained to complete the revaluation of the City of Glen Cove.

In 2000, the firm was selected by the Nassau County Department of Assessment and the Cole Layer Trumble (CLT) Division of Tyler Technologies to serve as local experts in the reassessment of over 415,000 residential and commercial properties in Nassau County.

SVS has also been contracted for the revaluation of the Nassau County Villages of Mineola, Lake Success and Sea Cliff.

For Mr. Smith, real estate is a family business. Both his father and his grandfather sold real estate on Long Island, and he has been involved with the industry since 1983.
